CHEC welcomes and supports all Indigenous students to the campus. A space has been identified in which all Indigenous students can relax, network, hold functions and for special needs classes. This room is called the Gumbaynggir Room and is located in Block E.G.14/15. An Indigenous tutorial room is also available for use by up to six students at one time or for private study.

Southern Cross University
The University’s Gungil Jindibah Centre, based on the Lismore Campus, offers academic advice and administrative support to Indigenous University students and prospective students. A Gungil Jindibah Centre representative is regularly on the Coffs Harbour Education Campus. Gungil Jindibah Centre contact numbers are 02 6620 3781 (Lismore) and 02 6659 3317 (Coffs Harbour).

TAFE NSW - North Coast Institute
Kevin Naden is the North Coast Institute Aboriginal Education Coordinator responsible for implementing courses funded through Aboriginal Development Division funding. Kevin can be contacted on 02 6659 3316.

Shaun Hart, the TAFE Aboriginal Student Support Officer also liaises between students and campus administrators and teachers and can be contacted on 02 6659 3316.

Coffs Harbour Senior College
Robyn Edwards is the DET representative on the Campus Indigenous Advisory Committee and is vitally interested in Aboriginal issues, especially access and equity for Koori students. Robyn can be contacted on 02 6659 3113. Robyn conducts regular meetings for Koori students and provides ongoing guidance and assistance.
